Buddha of Nazareth

Some of my favorite Christian's are Buddhists. To me, they embody the truest teachings of the Man from Galilee.

In my understanding, Jesus was a strong yet gentle messenger of The Way. He practiced nonviolence. He was not attached to the material or temporary or superficial things of this world. He not only sought out the Dharma, He Became the Dharma. He taught in and prayed with the Sangha. He poured forth cool, flowing Holy Water to ease our Karma without forcing us to drink. He meditated continually. Seeking the guidance, even unto Himself, of the Supreme Source of All Enlightenment.

There was another mass shooting in America today.

This time, in a hospital. The dwelling space we gather in to Heal and offer Care and Compassion. Our hospitals are make shift churches. Heads are often bowed in prayer. Seeking assistance, perhaps for the very first time, from the Supreme Source of all Enlightenment.

The last mass shooting occurred in a schoolroom.

I am quite sure that the Master's and Teacher's, the Bodhisattva's of great compassion and all the Sages and Prophet's across the vast expanse of our time here on Earth, gathered together, and collectively Wept.

We have been shown The Way. Throughout our history the prophets have spoken. We know what to do.

And Yet.

The best and the brightest in the corridors of American leadership want to arm the teachers of our children. Rather than leading us in the disarming of our Hearts.

I fear the narrative in the Upper Rooms of the Highest Realms now becomes more anguished.

I can almost hear The Voice Cry Out.

Saying:

Father. Forgive them. They know exactly what they do.

Instead of working on eliminating guns we are going to give guns to people who want to teach not kill
